In Response To Covid-19
Payzant’s is committed to keeping our Home Hardware stores open just as we always do during natural disasters (like Juan and White Juan), and in crisis like what we’re seeing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Our customers depend on us to provide help in times of emergencies such as hot water heaters, urgent electrical and plumbing needs and critical appliances like hot water tanks and generators and pumps. Here are the measures we are taking to ensure the safety of our customers and team members:
Reduced Hours Of Operation
While we will remain open, we are also responding to the needs of our team, and will, therefore, reduce the number of operating hours. To view the most up to date hours for each location visit our Contact page.
It is important to us to ensure that you, our valued customers, are protected. To that end, we are taking more effective cleaning measures in our stores.
- Staff will sanitize point of sale machines, and the handles of shopping carts and baskets after each use.
- We are routinely cleaning all frequently touched surfaces entryways and restrooms.
- Disposable wipes have been provided to our team to wipe down surfaces before each use.
- Instructive signage has been posted in all restrooms outlining proper handwashing procedures.
Pick Up Service
We are now offering a pick-up service. We encourage you to call your nearest store or email email@example.com to place your order and arrange a pick up time. Please allow a 3 hour window between ordering and pickup. Upon arrival, please call the main store number to notify us that you have arrived. A staff member will then be sent outside to assist you. We ask that you stay seated in your vehicle and pop open your trunk, our staff member will safely place the item in your trunk and ensure it is closed.
Regarding home installation services, we will be calling all scheduled jobs before entering homes to ensure no one inside the home has travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days or is experiencing flu-like symptoms. If either of these are present, we will reschedule the installation project for a later date. Should you wish to cancel a scheduled job due to self-isolating, please call and alert our installation team and we will reschedule a new date that is more comfortable for you.
We are also performing no contact installations and have implemented precautionary measures in our showrooms.
For almost 56 years, our customers have counted on us in times of need. While COVID-19 poses new challenges, we are committed to ensuring we meet that challenge while still providing the best level of service to our customers and more flexibility for our team members.
